Ciao! We're Annie and Federico, a couple living in Rome, Italy. Our love unfolded in the kitchen: shortly after meeting, we found ourselves spending nearly every weekend cooking side by side. We delved into old family recipes and experimented with new ones, always accompanied by a bottle of Italian wine. Through our experience, we truly believe that the way to every person's heart is through their stomach. 

While we may not be professional chefs with cooking school credentials or Michelin stars, our passion for Italian cuisine runs deep. Our greatest teachers? The incredible women in our family. Additionally, we know and appreciate good wine (Annie has the badges to prove it).

Each weekend, we're excited to welcome a small group of people to our casa in the heart of Trastevere, for a cooking class and wine tasting. Our journey begins with a leisurely stroll to the local farmer’s market, where we handpick fresh, seasonal ingredients for our lunch. Together, we'll then craft a delicious four-course meal paired with four Italian wines. The menu will showcase the seasonal and typical dishes of Roman cuisine. Throughout the afternoon, you'll hear the stories behind the food, the wines, and share in each other's company at our intimate table—a celebration of authentic, hand-crafted Italian food and wine.

About Annie and Federico:

Annie, an American in Rome, was raised in a family of food and wine lovers. Her cherished childhood memories involve the tantalizing aromas emanating from the kitchen during her parents' dinner parties, which were filled with close friends gathered around the table, delicious food made with love from her Mom, and endless vino selected by her Dad. She’s not only passionate about cooking (and eating), but also wine: Annie is a certified Italian Wine Ambassador under the Vinitaly International Academy, and holds WSET Level 3 and Court of Master Sommeliers certifications.

Federico, a native Roman, grew up surrounded by a Mamma and two Nonne who were avid cooks. This love for cooking is beautifully reflected in the treasured family recipes he shares. Equipped with his family’s kitchen secrets and an exceptional palate, Fede is a culinary force. Together with Annie, they'll guide you through the Roman recipes they fell in love with and the Italian wines that accompanied their journey.
